Brooke Nuckles creates fiber art installations, silkscreen prints, and mixed media canvases in her Southern Oregon studio. Brooke’s artistic journey is a perpetual dance between profound influences—patterns that echo life's rhythms in nature and the intricate web of human connections speaking through fibers that intertwine and colors that sing.

As a fervent seeker of artistic truth, Brooke draws upon the tactile allure of fibers—yarns, ribbons, and strings—and the pull of ink through silkscreens as her chosen mediums. Threads become conduits for imagination, weaving narratives of texture, color, and emotion. Her creations, whether they take the form of expansive fiber art installations, eclectic mixed media canvases, or vivid screen prints on paper, stickers, or eco apparel, share a common heartbeat of vibrancy and audacity inspired by her human experience dancing with nature.

The influences of trailblazers such as Eva Hesse, Robert Rauschenberg, Andy Warhol, and Maria De Los Angeles reverberate profoundly. From Hesse's organic fluidity to Warhol's audacious pop sensibilities, these luminaries inspire and infuse vitality into her creative reservoir. Her art process embraces the improv concept, “yes, and…” with inspiration from live music and improvisational jams of bands like Phish, Mothers of Invention (Frank Zappa), and jazz.

Through the intricate dance of fibers, ink, and found objects, colors and connections, Brooke’s artwork evokes not just visual delight but also fosters a visceral understanding of the interplay between human existence and the world it inhabits.

In 2002, Brooke received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, including a semester abroad in Slovenia. Her work has been shown in national and international spaces, with recent exhibitions at Giustina Gallery (Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR), Langford Gallery (Phoenix, OR), Medford Coop Cafe and Rogue Valley International Airport (Medford, OR) and more.

As co-founder of Arts Alliance of Southern Oregon and as Arts Commissioner for City of Medford’s Public Arts Selection Committee, Brooke advocates for the arts regionally. Brooke also kindles the flames of positive change as a consultant to nonprofit organizations via Growing Assets, LLC.

To encourage arts appreciation, Brooke teaches art classes and fine art camps for children at many regional venues.  She has been teaching art to all ages for over twenty years and strives to create opportunities in the visual arts for all ages and abilities.
